Chapter 58

Leilani-

The next morning, believe I woke up before anyone else. Looking outside I noticed the moon was still peeking through the window. Not wanting to wake Eric, I gently unwrapped his arms from around me.

Careful not to make any noise or sudden movements, I eased out of bed. When my feet hit the floor, I tiptoed out of the room. My brain was in a fog this morning, more than likely from what Delilah had told me.

Not sure what to do, I thought maybe it was a good idea to go for a walk outside. I would have to go barefoot though since most of my stuff was still in the room Archer was now in. Just needing to get some fresh air, I silently made my way outside.

“Where are you running off to?” I heard Tate’s voice the moment I stepped outside.

Looking in the direction of his voice, I saw he was walking towards me from the direction of the trees. Softly closing the door, I made my way in his direction, not wanting my voice to carry inside and wake anyone up.
