Chapter 52

Beside her Ken ran a hand through his velvety soft hair. "Sorry for the smell. I wanted to cover it up, but I guess it didn't work." Gina smiled and tried to shrug it off, as they sat down. She wasn't quite ready to talk about the fact that some things truly never changed, so she was grateful when Ken went to the kitchen and began to ask about her trip. Soon, they settled into a comfortable conversation and until the food was cooked, neither of them shut up. Apparently, Ken was looking for a side job so he could save money and open his own electronics workshop.

She had seen him working and he was good at it, but there was no other way to help apart from offer emotional support. As the hours passed, they laughed and played games while Gina tried to remember all the while that this guy could easily break her heart again if she let him. It was nearly nightfall wen she decided to start going home, and Ken offered to drop her off.
