Chapter 68: The Storm Ahead

"Let’s keep moving,” Isabella said, her voice strong. “We have a battle to win.”

The group trudged through the dense forest, the shadows deepening as the sun dipped below the horizon. The air was thick with tension, each step bringing them closer to the inevitable confrontation with the Alpha King.

Aria glanced at Isabella, her brow furrowed with concern. “Do you think we’ll find the last relic in time?”

Isabella clutched the second relic tightly. “We have to. It’s our only hope of defeating him.”

Elara, ever vigilant, scanned the surroundings. “We should find a place to rest for the night. We need to be at full strength for what’s coming.”

They found a small clearing and set up camp, the flickering fire casting eerie shadows on the trees. Isabella’s ex sat next to her, his expression unreadable.

“Isabella,” he began, breaking the silence, “there’s something I need to tell you.”
