As they burst through the archway and into the forest, Isabella knew they were far from safe.

"Keep moving!" her ex shouted, his eyes scanning the darkened forest for any signs of pursuit.

Isabella clutched the relic, its warmth a beacon of hope, but her mind raced with fear and determination. "Thorne and the others—what if they can't hold him off?"

"They will," her ex replied, his tone unwavering. "Thorne's tougher than he looks. Right now, we need to put as much distance as possible between us and the Alpha King."

The forest seemed more sinister than before, every shadow a potential threat. They navigated through the dense underbrush, the sounds of the night amplified by their heightened senses. Each step felt like a gamble, every rustle in the leaves a harbinger of danger.

Suddenly, a low growl emanated from the darkness ahead. Isabella halted, her grip tightening on the relic. "Did you hear that?"
