Verya groaned as pain awakened her…her shoulder felt empty, but that was probably because the arrow that had been in it was in someone else's hand. Sathe looked down at his bloody body with a sick smile on his lips. He didn’t know why, but the fact that the blood on his bare skin was for once not his gave him a sense of superiority. Verya pocketed her hands as she continued into the woods. The sun was rising, and though she didn’t sleep much through the night, her steps were energetic, and her eyes wide open. Jake, Ethan and Aron were walking in front of her…all three were unwanted company, but the more help, the better, right? Sighing, her eyes drifted through the bushes with a sad gleam in them.
