Chapter 10: I've been calling you, Veronica

I felt Alpha Jaxon's fingers shiver with such a wide range of emotions. How could an Alpha be afraid of someone else's voice? When I looked down, he was barely clenching his fist and I was afraid to hold his hand because he appeared terrified, but I did it in the end.
