Emily POV

The moon had risen high in the night sky, casting a silvery glow over the palace gardens. As the pack's celebration continued, a sense of serenity settled upon the landscape, a calm after the joyous storm of the day. Roman and I had stolen away from the festivities for a moment of quiet reflection.
