Chapter 34 Can't Say No

Crista sat in the car as William drove her back. Outside, the rain was getting heavier and heavier on their way to the villa.

As soon as they pulled up the driveway, Maria came out with an umbrella and greeted them, "Mr. Ding, Mrs. Ding, welcome back."

"Thank you for driving me home," Crista said as she walked alongside William into the house.

"You can ask the driver to take you anywhere in the future," William replied. He went straight to the sofa in the living room and sat down.

"No, thanks. I won't go out again." There was clear disappointment and despair in Crista's tone.

"Are you sure? I thought you didn't like it here." William didn't even look at her as he spoke and his voice sounded cold.

He could instantly tell what she was thinking, especially since Crista could never really hide her feelings. He knew exactly what she thought and wanted to say.
