Astonishing Results

"Have a seat, Adine." Doctor Maria invited the woman to sit on the chair before her office.

The small room dominated by light green walls and posters of human organs made Adine quite comfortable.

Doctor Maria pulled out a drawer under her desk. She took out two long white envelopes from there.

"These are the results of the last fertility test that you haven't had time to take," said Maria as she handed the envelopes to Adine.

For some reason, Adine's heart rate monitor was pounding so much that if she had listened to it through a stethoscope, she would have immediately put away the heart rate monitor.

Adine looked at Doctor Maria doubtfully. The beautiful doctor frowned and then smiled. Perhaps the doctor already understood what the woman in front of her was thinking.

Finally, with trembling hands, Adine reached for the white envelope with the results of the fertility test she had done with Rico.
