Wedding Ring?

"It's alright, Doctor Leo."

Adine glanced at her husband, whose face was bright red. It was as if a stream of lava was about to erupt from the mountain's core.

"Are you really okay, Adine?"

Doctor Leo's question made the woman turn her head back towards the source of the voice. Adine, who felt Dominik could barely control her emotions, tried pulling her hand from Doctor Leo's grasp.

"I'm fine, Doc," Adine said while still trying to pull her hand away.

"Let me help you clean your wet hands."

Leo still insisted on not letting go of her hand. Instead, he pulled on some tissues.

"You're deaf!"

Dominik, in a fit of rage, swatted Doctor Leo's hand away from Adine's roughly.

Leo gasped; the slap that felt more like a punch immediately snapped him out of it. He released his grip on Adine's hand reflexively.

He looked at Dominik, the man's caramel irises seemingly flashing and emitting a flame of hostility.

"I'm sorry, I just feel bad for your wife," Leo replied awkwardly.
