“Have you tried reaching her cellphone?”

Noah came out of the study with the phone in his hand. “She left it.”

They had come back to the mansion an hour after rescuing Cathy and Ginny and rested until the next day.

Asher and Lance were pacing the floor later that morning with their hands in their hair. Both men were tense and angry enough to ram their fists into the wall. Lance especially could almost imagine himself running into the enemy’s territory, guns blazing, ready to do battle and that was just what he wanted to do.

He wasn’t alone in that desire. Asher couldn’t wait to attack the Dark Storm pack, the only thing keeping him from attacking was the fact that he wasn’t prepared for long-term war. Besides, Noah thought it was too soon to fight. They were unguarded and compared to the Dark Storm, their numbers were infinitely small.

There would be casualties if they fought now.
