Anastasia's POV.

I was in the same restaurant as Ezra. We were sitting opposite each other, right in the restaurant.

"What do you do? I wondered what must have been so important to the extent that you called me here." He questioned me while I heaved a deep sigh. I didn't have any answers for him, but I hoped he was going to answer all the questions I wanted to ask him.

"I heard that you were the one who told the werewolves the condition that Tristan has been going through. What are you up to exactly, Ezra?" I questioned him while he let out a very soft chuckle.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm trying to find every means to remove him from his position. It wasn't me who made his choice. He had two choices: to leave his position, and end up being with anyone he wants, or he should remain there, and get to mark any lady. If you were there for him, he would have picked you up instead. I guess I made the plan at the right time." He almost burst out into laughter.
