My face turned pale as soon as he rejected my proposal. And the look of surprise that had been on his face was now on mine.

His expression remained solemn, indicating that he is not joking. He truly meant what he just said. My heart started beating so loud that it was ready to come out of my chest.

Among the attendees, I could hear loud gasps and whispers. They couldn't believe Lycan King had turned down my offer because they all thought I was the most beautiful golden wolf of all time, the wolf would die to be with me, and he had turned me down.

I could tell one of them was very happy, and I am certain it was Dante. He was relieved to learn that I had also been rejected. This must have brought peace to his sore heart.
