Chapter Fifty six

Zirah's POV

Blinking my eyes open in a strange room, I feel so disoriented and loopy.

I turned my body so that my legs could touch the cold floor.

The shock of the coldness of the floor meeting my warm skin jolted me to be more awake.

I was donned in a weird-looking hospital gown which gaped at the back and I turned my hand to hold it together in place, as I padded to the washroom. I turned on the tap, the cold water blinking me awake as I splashed it with my trembling hands on my face and I looked up at the mirror. The image I saw in the mirror made me wince. My hair was flat against my scalp and my skin looked pasty white with chaps across my lips.

All in all, I looked like an absolute mess.

I hoped Damon didn't see me like this.
