Zirah's POV I struck out blindly, hoping to hit her but I was too sluggish, she saw the hit coming and blocked it surprised me with how fast and strong she is. She threw me backward and I landed on my injured leg. The pain was too severe and I stumbled, my entire body going down. Seeing that as a way to gain one over me, she leaped on and landed on my injured feet causing it to pop with a sickening crack. Blinding pain assuaged me and although I clamped my lips shut to let out any sound, a tiny groan escaped from my mouth. Too weak to keep on my wolf form, I changed back cradling my injured side as I moved away from her. "Ple-pleas-e, st-stop.." I begged but she just kept coming, an unforgiving expression on her face. Damon's POV Good, I thought, seizing on anything to distract me from how white and unmoving Zirah currently was, a couple of doors away from me. Helen on the other hand, was a welcome distraction. Damon's POV Seeing that I wasn't saying anything, Tristan's eyes hardened further. "Well…" he splayed his arms out wide, "aren't you going to say anything?" I hummed, focusing on using the cold feeling I got from the ice to center myself. The feeling was actually quite great if you could focus on it properly... soothing, calm and-That so great feeling was snatched away from me and my eyes popped open- I didn't even realize I'd closed it- the instant I felt someone take it away from me. I heard a thud and twisted my head to see what had fallen, and I saw a wet print on the wall where the ice had smashed against it and the sad remains on the floor, soaking my carpet. Demon's POV And Helen that bitch, had a dagger aimed above Zirah's heart about to plunge it down. There was a lot we shifters can heal from. Decapitation and a dead heart were not one of them. I rushed into her with the force of a freight train knocking into her causing her to lose her balance and topple to the floor taking me her. The dagger was still in her grip and up close I recognized it as part of their family heirlooms, passed down from shifter to shifter. Her father must have given it to her. She clutched it tightly, not willing to let it go but I hit her hand repeatedly on the floor loosening her grip a bit for it to tumble several metres away. I was lying down on top of her, my weight practically pinning her down and I made to shift back but I was too late. She raised her right knee and plunged it into my neither regions causing pain to bloom behind my eyelids and in instinctive reaction, I let her go of her hands to clutch my ball sack. "Not feeling so powerful now, eh?"

Damon's POV I stumbled out of the room barking something to the guard there like "Don't let anyone in here" and I rushed out to a nearby washroom, and placed my hands under the faucet watching mesmerizingly as the white turned blood red to faded pink as it washed the blood stains down the drain. I kept scrubbing my hands over and over again until my hands were scrubbed raw, trying to wipe away the feeling of blood I had on my hands. It wasn't the first time I'd killed before especially not a woman. In battle you didn't recognize who was male or female, all you saw were enemies to attack. I placed my dripping hands on my face, closing my eyes as the mental image of her shocked race when I stabbed her before decapitating her. Her head had rolled to my leg and her face was frozen into that expression. Dammit. This was a huge clusterfuck that I didn't expect and I had no idea how to deal with it. Zirah's POV Blinking my eyes open in a strange room, I feel so disoriented and loopy. I turned my body so that my legs could touch the cold floor. The shock of the coldness of the floor meeting my warm skin jolted me to be more awake. I was donned in a weird-looking hospital gown which gaped at the back and I turned my hand to hold it together in place, as I padded to the washroom. I turned on the tap, the cold water blinking me awake as I splashed it with my trembling hands on my face and I looked up at the mirror. The image I saw in the mirror made me wince. My hair was flat against my scalp and my skin looked pasty white with chaps across my lips. All in all, I looked like an absolute mess.I hoped Damon didn't see me like this. I glanced down at the floor as I bent down, a sharp pain pierced my side causing me to whimper out loud. She turns away from the window to look at me as I approach and once again I'm reminded of the reason why I chose her out of all the women.
