A low growl vibrated through Amira’s chest. She froze, unsure about what she should do now that Demon was here. His presence exuded such dominance that even as she inhabited the Alpha King's body, Amira felt compelled to expose her neck.

Amira almost did it involuntarily, but she stopped herself, especially whilst Baltir watched her warily. Besides, she was a rebel; there was no way she would bare her neck to the Alpha King. That included his wolf, Demon.

Another growl rippled through her throat, and she regretted that thought immediately. Maybe to pacify Demon, she would.

Baltir ushered others outside swiftly, dramatically explaining, “Unless you want to be eaten, leave now!”
