Glowering at the man, Rhys yanked his hand away from this flattering peacock. He didn’t like how the man looked at him and wondered how much of his presumption was true. Amira was stunning, but from the warning growl in his mind, Nisha was unhappy with his thoughts.

Rhys didn’t know if she was growling because of his ‘harsh’ thoughts about Amira or because he was right and the wolf felt defensive.

The man chuckled and slumped down in the wooden chair beside Rhys as other men, men he didn’t recognise, started to gather around them. They sat on tables next to theirs but did not venture closer.
