Lucian kept his distance. Even though it was the last thing Emberlynn would have wanted, she believed it was very much needed.

She turned around on the bed before finally sitting up. She gazed at her side, lifting the shirt she wore slightly. She had already healed, but the scar was still there.

Even after fighting in a major war in Damien's pack house, she never knew she would sustain such a scar from a minor rogue fight.

She had tried erasing the scar with her powers, but it didn't work.
