he's stranger

Emberlynn groaned as she came awake, turning around on the large bed. Her eyes snapped open as her hand collided with something.

Then she breathed out, seeing the pillow that now lay on a heap by her side, including the one Lucian had brought with him last night; however, he wasn't in the room with her.

She patted his side of the bed; it was cold to her touch, which meant he had left the room a long time ago.

Sighing, she shut her eyes briefly and opened them to look down at herself. Her clothes were intact, and nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary.

She guessed she had judged Lucian too much and had forgotten how much of a gentleman he was.

He had come to her pack house to save her, and she hadn't even thanked him properly. Also, during their journey here, he didn't do anything to make her uncomfortable.

The journey had been a four-day trip, yet Lucian hadn't gazed at her sexually, making her wonder if something was wrong with him.
