Friendship retained

The car stopped in front of the old four storey building. He looked out of the car window and he could see how serene the neighborhood looked that night.

It was cold and the street was empty. Only the barking of dogs could be heard from a distance.

She looked at his face and she could see anxiety written all over him.

"Are you sure you wanna do this?" She asked and he kept silent as he continued to look out of the window

"What if Tracy was right, anyway?" He asked and she sighed

"Tracy can't be right. He is ready to see you, his response says it all" she said

"What was his response?" He asked as he looked at her face

"He texted back and said,"Noted" but I think he is eager to see you too, else he wouldn't have agreed to come," she said and he nodded.

"You know, he could have turned you into the hands of the police if he didn't care about the friendship you once shared. I guess he didn't let them know of his encounter with you" she said and he sighed
