He was awoken by the sound of their laughter. He opened the curtain on the window and saw them walking out of the house. It was dark when he got to the Slum. Everywhere was busy and lit up that night. He could see boys and girls, men and women moving to and fro the slum. As he walked, he could feel every eye on him. He wore a black hood over his head as he strolled along the street of the slum. He heard voices of people whispering on his sides as he walked past them but he didn't care to look sideways. Just then, he saw troops of boys before him. They were all dressed in black and they were all teenagers who were about the same age as him. The boy in front, probably their leader, stopped in front of him. He was tall and well built with light brown skin and dark straight hair. "What do you want?" He asked the boy who was standing in front of him The boy knelt in front of him with his head bowed low. "I am Spider, and these are my boys behind me. We are like lost sheep without a shepherd. Our leader has been murdered and we are looking forward to a new leader who will be capable of leading us.
