I could see the tension brewing between the two men and it makes me wonder, is there something between the two ?

Cos I don't see why the small conversation we had could be reeling Leroi to this extent.

I pinched him lightly on the thigh but he did not as much as flinch from my harsh ministrations.

The two men continued their glaring competition, as if the rest of us aren't there. If not because we were in an important place I would have dragged leroi by his ear and straight to the mansion.

I tried to say something to dissipate the hostility in the air and make light of the situation.
