Chapter 61

Ariana's POV

Two weeks later, I stepped out of Alpha Derek's office with a smile on my face. I didn't think I had ever smiled at anything concerning Alpha Derek but this was a first. As most people usually said, there was a first time for everything and today was the first time I was smiling at something Alpha Derek did.

After dinner, I had gone to the Alpha's office as usual because he always had some work or two for me to do every day. When I entered into his office and greeted him without making the dire mistake of letting my eyes meet his, he had immediately spoken without even responding to my greeting but that was normal. I had come to expect it. In fact, if he had responded to my greeting I would have been more surprised than if he hadn't. That was what I had come to expect from the Alpha. No more, no less.

Alpha Derek immediately told me -without wasting any time- that he would longer be needing my services today again and that I was to go back to my room immediately. I thanke
