The crowd was shimmering in the lights of the flashes. Photographers were scattered to capture every moment of the inauguration. Ava was sitting with wives of renowned businessmen as she was feeling left out. It's almost an hour since they had reached the ceremony as she sat down with some of the ladies as her feet were hurting. Gareth introduced her to few people and then went away as these ceremonies were for making money and gaining power according to him. She knew he must be looking at her from the room where he had disappeared. After the last times incident he was careful but still left her to stay among the women. He didn't want her to get bored with him doing his business talks.

His face was ashen as soon as he reached the beach. There was a crowd of people who were everywhere making incoherent noises. They were screaming for help. "...a girl is drowning..." "...she will die..." "...she was wearing a silver gown..." People were screaming as Gareth felt his steps heavy but he still ran penetrating through the crowd. Seconds felt like hours as his guards reached him in no time but he wasn't looking anywhere but the path from where these people were screaming. He pushed the man standing in the way as he reached the edge only to find darkness in there. He couldn't see anything as the sea was flowing deep.

The meeting was about in ten minutes as Gareth was all ready to join. He believed in going one minute before the time just to reach exactly on time. His assistants that he summoned from New York were behind him trying to follow his fast steps. The days were passing like years as she didn't feel like going to the University. Everything felt like dry air without any scent in it. The thought that he was upset with her was constantly coming inside her mind to haunt her. She didn't try to call him once as the thought that he wouldn't pick her phone scared her. She couldn't bare the attitude of him ignoring him. "At least call him." Anya was asking for the tenth time as Sophia and she were sitting with her in her room. She wasn't coming out of her room much as they were there to grab her out from her loneliness. "What if he rejects my call? It will more heartbreaking." She reasoned out as she was lying on her bed hugging the silky white cushion.

The sun rays were peeking through the open window as she groaned a little at not closing them before sleeping. She tried to move but she felt a sharp pain between her legs making her eyes to wide open. Soon she realized what was happening as she fluttered her eyelashes several times to absorb her surroundings. She tried to move again as this time she felt restricted by a bulky arm wrapped securely around her chest beneath her breasts. His hairs were touching her breasts letting her feel a tickling sensation. She looked down at her as she immediately covered her mouth to muffle her gasp. She was naked, lying in the bed with her body flushed with his. Her every nerve constricted as she started taking deep breaths to calm her down.

She went to see Sophia as Gareth finally let her go. He didn't even leave her once since the morning. Now it was evening as the moon came to take place of the sun. Sophia and Page were enjoying each other's company when she entered the room. They both exchanged a knowing look as she was glad she hid all the bruises on her neck and shoulders. "You slept well?" Page asked wiggling her eyebrows as Ava just narrowed her eyes at her. "Yes I did thanks for asking." She answered trying to look normal as they both chuckled when Sophia asked. "How he let you escape here?" She asked as Ava went to sit beside Page on the couch.

The sun was peeking through the bluish sky as the birds started chirping with the cold breeze swaying the leaves of the trees as it was cold today. Her eyes opened as she groaned a little due to the uncomfortable position she was lying on the couch. She waited for Gareth whole night again as it’s been two days since she had seen him. She didn’t bother him again by calling him as he was already tense. She wasn’t going to university as her vacations were almost here so she decided to go after them. Moreover Gareth had tightened the security around the mansion and around her too. She couldn’t go like this so she was taking notes at home with the help of Sasha. She glanced at the time as her face fell down on finding no sign of Gareth. Not even a message from him.
