"Do you love me?" I asked him as my lower lip puckered out a little. It was childish but I couldn't help it. His thumbs were stroking my cheeks as the silence of the night was still hanging in there. I wanted to ask him that if he loved me he shouldn’t let me follow the diet chart anymore but it came out something else. The question made him stiff as I got to know that was serious. Emotional things were far more serious for him. He was looking stunned by my question as he wasn't expecting that or the question was too hard for him to answer. He never said he loved me or he liked me. I wanted my answers. He was a difficult man. His ropes were toxic. He had to leave behind all the darkness if he wanted to move forward with me.
Ava's POV: It's been a week since I had talked to him. He sat on the dining table for a mere second and then left without saying anything. Same happened with the dinner. He wasn't giving me time to talk to him neither I was trying to talk to him. Sophia was examining everything as it was evident that something was off between us but she wasn't asking anything. I glanced up at the professor talking about anatomy. A skeleton was placed in front of us with a femur bone in our hands. This glass was draining or I was tired of thinking about Gareth. "Is he still trying to be friends with you?" Sasha asked as I shook my head. She was t
"What are you doing here?" I gulped standing up as I turned around to find uncle Jonathan looking at me with hatred like always. He didn’t like my father as after his demise the hatred tuned towards me. Patriarchy! There were only two feelings in his eyes whenever he used to look at me. Hatred and anger! "I-I just c-came...to...meet..." I stammered badly as all the fear came back. "You drowned our name in the neighbourhood by running away and now you are here with this unfortunate face of yours you little piece of..." He was about to say something bad as he lunged at me to grab my elbow in harsh manner."...if you think I will give you space in my home after all you have done then forget about that." He was jerk
GARETH BLADE'S POV: Light brown eyes! Those eyes were stilled in my mind since I had seen them. So much had change since then—around me and in me. At first they entered my life I was enraged then I wanted those eyes to just look at me, I became addicted to them and then "Do you love me?" This question put my mind in chaos. I didn't want to admit that but I knew what was happening inside me. It's been a week since I had talked to her as I was quenching my thirst of my eyes in night. I used to come late directly at the time of dinner so I coul
GARETH BLADE'S POV: I reached mansion before time as it wasn't time for dinner. I saw Sophia in the garden as she was alone indicating, she hadn't come yet. A frown captured my face as I called Knowles exiting the lift. "Where are you?" I asked Knowles as he assured me that everything was fine and Ava was inside the house with her aunt. Her uncle wasn't home and that was good sign as I sat on the couch sighing but there was a smile on my face. I was constantly smiling since I had decided about myself. Even the members in the meeting were giving me weird looks seeing me working fast and concluding the meeting as soon as possible. I tried my best to purse my lips in a thin line to stop me from smiling like a maniac.
Everything was packed as she was checking one last time before letting the guards to take the suitcases away. She didn't see Gareth after he stormed out of the room like he had something urgent to do. She also had so much work to do that she was glad he gave her time to complete her assignments before going on a trip. Now she could go without any burden. The smile wasn't leaving her face as his words from last night kept ringing in her mind. He admitted he loved her as she wanted to give him a hard time but she gave in. She promised to give him a chance. Little did she know about him having a hard time last night after her act. "M
The warm breeze was flowing as she was taking pictures of the roads guided by palm trees. Gareth kept stealing glances at her as her enthusiastic state was making him feel surreal—a rare thing for him. They reached the rest house beside the beach as it was beautifully built with a vintage look from outside. Ava face was awestruck seeing the small but welcoming restroom. There was an open kitchen in the lounge as the vast corridor was leading to the various rooms. The guards that received them at the airport placed their luggage in the master bedroom as Ava followed them. There was a glass wall opposite to the bed showing the waves of the sea dancing rhythmically with warm breeze flowing. The sun was just blessing the land with its last rays before letting the moon to overcome its place. Both were beautifu
He came back as he sent the guard to bring something clean and hygienic from the fancy restaurants nearby. He neglected the idea of stalls. He opened his emails to divert his attention as it worked. There were several emails from Emir too saying that he had opened Zyair's laptop for the plan. His laptop and phone was in the locker along with other things as these were about to send to Mia. She deserved everything he owned but she didn't ask for anything in return. She left the town as she didn't want to give birth to Zyair's baby here among these dangerous people. Again his mind for drifted towards them as before the thoughts could go deep the guard came with two burritos as they were from a fancy restaurant but were easy to deceive Ava into saying them from stalls.
