~Ren~ My grip on his immediately loosened as my cheek felt hot. ‘’Sorry’’ I said sheepishly, looking into his eyes. Devin chuckled while he poured red wine on two port glasses from his hand. Where did that come from? I didn’t even see him take those when we stepped in on the lift. We sat on one of the outdoor couches facing the beautiful view of the city. ~Ren~‘’Fine’’ I whispered to myself and caught up with him. Devin isn’t such a bad tour guide. He actually knows a lot about Milan, and I like the sound of his voice when he’s telling a story about the structures we came across.

~Devin~“For you” I held out the velvet box in my pocket. We are now on the plane back to Manhattan and the uneasiness I was feeling was back. What will happen to us when we get back to Manhattan, to me being her boss?

~Ren~He turned his back on me and I took that as a signal to fix myself and get the hell out of his office. Angie gave me a sympathetic glance when I walked into my office. I didn’t need her sympathy. What I need is to talk to a shrink to fix my damaged brain.
