CHAPTER FIFTY-EIGHT.

The car made an abrupt halt infront of Sarah's apartment building. It was Ron bringing Sarah and his daughter back home after meeting his parents. It was dusk and the sky was already dark, the stars glittering from the sky. Immediately the car stopped, Sarah came out of it and Rachel did too. The last person to alight was Ron and when he did, he kissed his daughter goodbye and told her to go inside the house, she did.

He watched as the girl ran into the house and when she was gone, the door firmly bolted behind her, he turned back to Sarah. They both stared at each other silently for a long time.

"I divorced Lauren." Ron suddenly blurted out, breaking the silence.

Sarah's brows raised in surprise. She had heard the news, seen it on a blog but it was put there as a rumour. Neither the news channel nor the blogger's wall confirmed the news so, it remained a rumour. She had wanted to ask Ron if the rumours were true but she did not, she did not want to prey into the man's personal life.
