The car made an abrupt halt infront of Sarah's apartment building. It was Ron bringing Sarah and his daughter back home after meeting his parents. It was dusk and the sky was already dark, the stars glittering from the sky. Immediately the car stopped, Sarah came out of it and Rachel did too. The last person to alight was Ron and when he did, he kissed his daughter goodbye and told her to go inside the house, she did. He watched as the girl ran into the house and when she was gone, the door firmly bolted behind her, he turned back to Sarah. They both stared at each other silently for a long time."I divorced Lauren." Ron suddenly blurted out, breaking the silence.Sarah's brows raised in surprise. She had heard the news, seen it on a blog but it was put there as a rumour. Neither the news channel nor the blogger's wall confirmed the news so, it remained a rumour. She had wanted to ask Ron if the rumours were true but she did not, she did not want to prey into the man's personal life.

Immediately she went inside the restaurant, she saw Gladys Diego. The woman was sitting not so far from the door so it wasn't so hard to find her. Gladys had called Sarah some days ago and asked if they could meet, the older woman said she had something very important she wanted to tell Sarah. Of course, Sarah refused to see the woman at first but after so much reassurance from Ron that nothing was going to happen, she decided to honour the woman and meet her. They were meeting in a restaurant, that was Sarah's only condition for meeting Gladys and surprisingly, the woman had agreed to it. So, there they were, siting opposite each other in a public place. Flowers were everywhere and even the weather was beautiful, the sky was blue and clear. Ron was in his room and he was sitting on the couch that was at the right corner of the room. They walked rather slowly and when they finally got halfway through the aisle, Delores gave Ron a subtle hug and handed Sarah to him. "Take care of her." His eyes suddenly flicked open and he sat up, panting heavily. Even though the air conditioner was working just fine and the room was freezing, his face and body were still covered with sweat, his eyes bloodshot. When he sat up on the bed, Sarah too woke up and sat up with him. The way he suddenly woke up got Sarah terrified and that is why she woke up too. When she looked at him, he was sweating profusely and breathing heavily. She wondered what was wrong with him and what he must have dreamt of on the night of their wedding that was so terrifying. She reached out and gently touched his shoulder and when she did that, he suddenly turned at her and jerked back in fright. He was still afraid of what ever happened in his dream. "Calm down, Ron. She sat quietly in her car, her head bowed and placed on her steering. She was wearing a black, tight jean trouser and a black hoodie, under the hoodie was a black vest. The tarred road was a lonely and dark one but her car wasn't the only car parked around the area, it was just one among many and her car has been there for a long time, she was waiting for someone. She was still waiting for the person in her car when all of a sudden, a car pulled over and halted behind hers.
