CHAPTER FIVE : Finally Found You

Leo's POV

I just stared at the little lump of flesh that had fainted out of fright. Seb called for a doctor, and she was placed on the bed next to mine.

“Who is she?” Camilla asked with a curious voice.

“She is the one that saved my life,” I replied to her while staring at the unconscious girl.

“Seb, what did you find out about her?” I asked with a serious tone.

“Her name is Amira Davis; she is the daughter of Johnson Davis, the CEO of Davis Enterprises. She is 18 years old and was returning to the city from the country side,” Seb reported without delay.

I just nodded and turned to look at the girl again. The image of the brave little girl who saved my life was still very fresh in my memory.

“Umm, boss, there is actually something else,” Seb said with a hesitant tone.

“What is it?” I asked him with a frown.

“She also has the amulet,” he said with a hesitant voice.

“Are you sure of what you are saying?” I asked with a shocked expression.

“That means she is the one,” Camilla said while staring at the girl.

“Send her back to the Davis family when she wakes up and send two of our men to protect her in the shadows,” I instructed with a serious tone.

“Okay, boss,” Seb replied.

“Have you found out anything about those who attacked me?” I asked with a cold tone.

"Yes, boss, they are shadow guards from the Talkoa family. Mr. Talkoa is your biggest competitor for the casino that the Devran family wants to sell off,” Seb reported with a serious look.

“Those creepy snakes—his daughter has been annoying me every day, and she is always stalking me on social media,” Camila said angrily.

“He thinks that he can mess with the Marchetti family and go scot-free?

He didn't disappoint me; I predicted his every move but not his sudden, brutal attack.

The fact that my little boy was also in the car and could have gotten hurt makes my blood boil,” I said angrily.

“Since he wants to play a brutal game, chop his son into small pieces, but leave the head intact, and send it to the Talkoa family house. Let me see how funny he finds messing with me,” I instructed with a slight smile.

“How can you say something like that with a smile?” A girl's voice suddenly came from behind me.

I turned around to see that the girl, Amira, was awake and staring at me with a horrified expression.

“Would you have preferred that I let him kill me because he won't rest as his first attempt has failed?” I said with a smile.

“I have no problem with you getting even with the culprit, but his son might not even know anything about what his father has done to you,” she replied with a frown.

“What if I tell you that this son of his is the biggest organ and women trafficker in the country? He has a lot of brothels where young girls are forced to become prostitutes, and whenever a girl refuses to accept this fate that he bestows on them, he rapes and kills her in the most brutal way.” I don't know why, but I felt compelled to explain things to her.

I observed every one of her expressions. She was shocked at first, then became angry afterwards.

“And you just want to chop him into pieces? I think that is just letting him die peacefully.

I know a drug that you can inject into him that will amplify the pain he will feel with every cut. He will wish for and beg for death.

You can also take your time when cutting him up, so that it can be as slow and torturous as possible,” she said slowly, with a slight smile at the end.

“You are so evil, and I like it!” Camilla exclaimed after hearing what she just said.

She walked up to her and extended her hand for a handshake.

“I am Camilla Marchetti, but you can just call me Cam." Cam introduced herself with a smile.

“Amira Davis,” she replied with a smile.

“It is hard to believe that you were the one who fainted out of fright an hour ago,” Seb said with a confused smile.

“I was just too stressed from everything and just needed to rest a little,” Amira said with a smile.

“So, you really didn't faint? You were just pretending?!” Cam asked with a shocked expression.

“I just wanted to know what plans you had for me, and the best way to eavesdrop on you is to act like I can't hear you,” she replied with a calm tone.

I just stared at her speechlessly. She is definitely one of the most interesting girls that I have ever met.

“How is the little guy?” She suddenly asked while looking at the baby, who was fast asleep on my bed.

“He is fine, and his name is Angelo,” Cam replied.

She seems to want to ask another question but has decided to hold it back.

“Your family will probably be worried about you,” Seb said to relieve the awkward atmosphere.

“I am sure that my stepmother will be putting on an emotional show for my father. Apart from that, nothing else,” she replied with a smile.

“I have arranged for someone to take you to the Davis family; here is my card,” I said, and I handed her a card.

“Umm, this is an ATM card,” she said after taking the card from me.

“Just take it since he is giving it to you; we can become best friends,” Cam said with an excited voice.

I know that she finds it hard to get along with her peers because they are always too scared to get close to her. I have seen her cry about it on many occasions. So I can understand her excitement at seeing someone who doesn't give a damn about her background.

"Okay,” Amira replied with a smile while looking at the card.

I saw the amulet on her neck and couldn't help feeling relieved that she was alive and that I could finally protect her.

“Miss Davis, your ride is downstairs,” Seb informed her.

“Give me your phone number,” Cam said while extending her phone for her to type in her number.

“I don't have a phone,” Amira said, and Cam just stared at her like she had grown another head.

“Are you for real?” Cam asked with a shocked expression, and she nodded awkwardly.

“Get her a phone on your way to the Davis family,” I informed Seb.

“Am I going with her?” Seb asked with a look of surprise.

“Yes, how do you expect her to explain what happened to the driver? Take her home and tell the Davis family that the car brakes failed, the car fell off a bridge on their way back from the countryside, and the driver drowned before you could save him.” I knew that they would definitely have doubts, but what can they do?

"Okay, boss, I will do as you have said,” Seb said before heading out of the room.

I saw Cam writing her contact details on a piece of paper and extended my hand to take it from her. I wrote down my own number and handed it back to her again. They just stared at me in surprise, but I just acted like I didn't notice their expressions.

“I am leaving now; bye,” Amira said before walking out of the door.

“Brother, I never knew that you could talk so much. This is the first time that I have seen you like this, and I must admit that I like it,” Cam said with a smile.

I just smiled slightly as I stared at the closed door.

I finally found you, my love.
