Chapter 42

Quinn POV

I wasn’t sure how long I had been knocked out for. Slowly I opened my eyes and immediately regretted my decision when a piercing pain shot through my skull. I groaned and squeezed my eyes shut, willing the pain to ease.

Voices of people in the room were magnified, making my ears hurt. I was in sensory overload, making my wolf uneasy.

“She’s waking up.” I heard a familiar voice say.

“Quinn baby, we are right here.” I heard my mother’s voice say a second later.

I smelt the familiar scents of my mom and father, however Thomas’s was noticeably not present.

My eyes slowly came into focus as I opened them. I was in an all-white room. The air smelt sterile making me scrunch up my nose. A dull beeping sound connected to what looked like a vital machine beeped every few seconds. I was no longer half naked like I was before. Instead, an oversized blue hospital gown covered my body. My parents, Rachel, and Mandy were in the room. All of them looking exhausted and pale.
