Chapter 24

Danielle pov

I ended up following Arthur out of the place, we were on the last floor and i frowned, i hastened my steps, i had never been to this part of the building and when he stopped at a door, he pushed it opened and we were at the roof, i had never been here and when i didn't follow Arthur until he reached the helicopter landing pad he turned to me.

“Are you afraid of heights?” he asked calmly. “No.” I replied to him.

He smiled and he kept on walking to the edge. I was still nervous from earlier on. He suddenly paused and turned to me.

“Come over.” He waved as he signaled. I stood there like a rock. I was indeed afraid of heights, he moved too close to the edge of the building, my anxiety rose and it crept into my heart.

“Be careful or you will fall over.” I yelled out to him. He really needs to be careful. I gulped as it felt like all my words went through both his ears.
