“I’m going to miss you mummy but Grams says you’ll be getting me gifts and will be relaxing too,” Ava said as my mother packed her bags outside to the car of her friend who had come to pick her up.

“We will speak on the phone every single day and you’ll get to see my face so theres not so much to miss.” I assured her brushing her braids behind and adjusting the shoulder of her sweater. She placed her hands on mine and helped me tugg up the slipping piece of material.

“Yeah, that sounds fun- and grams said that Nicole and i get to have makeovers like disney princesses.” She smiled igniting light in her eyes.

“Now i’m jealous.” I stated and she giggled while turning at the sound of the door opening, expecting grams to be the one at the door. Ava dashed off when she saw it was Arthur and he wasn’t here empty handed. In his hands was a small paper bag, my eyes met with his and he smiled at me.
