Brenda's POV,

Once I got back to my hometown. The first thing Chris and I did was head over to Dillon's parent's home. I needed to know everything they knew. Chris and I sat there with Dillon's parents. "I'm so sorry," I said to his mother. Dillon's mother has always been such a sweet woman. All the years Dillon and I dated. We got along so well. She gave me a big hug.

  "Three days Brenda, you have been out cold for three days." I heard his voice and felt his hand on mine. I started to crack my eyes open. Dawson sat next to me on the bed."Three days?" I managed to say. Then everything came crashing back to me and I sat up and scooted myself away from Dawson. I yelled out when I used my hand to move away.   I went into my bedroom and decided to jump in the shower. I wanted to freshen up a bit. I decided on a simple little red summer dress. I left my hair down and did a little makeup. I could smell dinner cooking. I opened the bedroom door and headed down the hallway. I walked in to find Dawson swinging his hips to the music he had on his phone. I giggled and didn't want to interrupt him. Then he stood up straight and stopped dancing. I ducked back a little but I knew I had been caught. "Brenda?" I heard him say.   It's been four months since Dalton took me. I've been out in this cabin all this time. I don't know how to explain, but he hasn't tried anything with me. He doesn't yell or threaten. He is kind and loving. I'm not tied down or locked inside. I'm allowed out of the cabin and I go into the woods. I don't run or scream. I tell myself every morning when I wake up. I'm keeping people safe. He brings me anything I want or need. We have breakfast together. We have lunch together. We have dinner together. He leaves at times and still, I don't run. He is not bossy or controlling. He never tries to kiss me or touch me. I honestly don't know what his game is. I'm scared and I miss Dawson. I pray every night that he is still alive, but I'm afraid he is not.
