Daphne’s POV

The ride home was uneventful and honestly, the last thing I needed was to talk to dad right now, he had made that decision without consulting me first, and somehow I made me feel trapped.

All these decisions I was making as of recently were starting to get to me and as much as I loved being ivory, the weight it brought made me feel as though the more decisions I took, the faster I let go of everything that made me Daphne.

As the car came to a stop in front of the house, I came down and without saying much to him, I entered, hoping he wouldn’t decide to drop in.

I hadn’t fully moved here though, but I just required time to think all these through and this was the only place I would be allowed to think properly.

Without turning back, I knew his car was still parked until I entered the house and as soon as I shut the door behind me, I heard his car zoom off…
