"You did what?!" Mother bellowed. Her face turned purple with rage and indignation. I cowered back from her anger, unable to believe my mother can show any emotion towards anything that didn't involve the latest fashion trend or her high class parties.

"He has been ignoring me mother." I tried again to explain my reasoning to her.

"He has been busy! He is the most eligible bachelor in this country and you want to dump him because he doesn't have time to go to fittings with you?!"

"I didn't dump him. I just want him to give me more time. That's not too much to ask is it?"

"No baby girl. It isn't. But you need to understand that he is a very important member of society and as such his time is very limited. He needs to prioritize....."

And I wasn't worthy of making his list of priorities? I screamed or growled, I wasn't certain which and ran to my room. The door made a loud thwack as it collided with the frame heavily.
