66. Why so determined?

Veronica's POV

Here I am again stepping on my self respect and killing my pride. Whenever I try to do better in life by stepping away from all the toxicity, destiny throws me back brutally.

I looked at his mansion and sighed. This place broke my hopes. All the bittersweet memories flashed back.
