Adele's POV
I went to meet Sil in the hospital. Though she was alright now, she was really weak, especially because she was not allowed to eat for the time being. The moment I reached the room, I found a man in his early 50's sitting beside Lucas. I didn't know why he felt so familiar. Maybe I've seen him before but couldn't get where.
"Amber, here you came. Your Sil woke up a little ago." Lucas suddenly said to me that dragged me out of those thoughts. I flinched a little as I got caught into overhearing them from outside. With an awkward smile, I entered.
That man was looking at me so carefully, like observing from top to bottom. His curious but calm gaze made me frown. I turned towards Sil to ask what actually happened in which she only shrugged.
Lucas pinched on my arm and almost dragged me towards that old man.

Adele's POV "Adele!" I noticed Mariah was looking paler than before. I know she needed to work harder because of my absence. But I had no other options. One after another attack was chasing me. I didn't get time to come here. "How are you? How have you been? Do you know how much I tried to find you? But you vanished just like magic." I found her concerned tone and eyes moist.
