Rising from her seated position, she stood and questioned, “What exactly are you saying, Master?”

Meeting his gaze, he nodded, his expression serious. “You have to leave her behind.”

“How can I? I can’t do that. I am a werewolf. I can’t live without my wolf. I can’t kill my wolf.”

Standing up, he attempted to clarify, “You’re not killing your wolf. You’re just going to shut her inside.”

“I have already shut her inside.”

“No, that’s not what I mean. You’re caging her while you can choose to shift or not. But I will bind her to the cage within. Once that’s done, you won’t be able to shift, no matter how hard you try.”

“W-Why?”
