The Seer was a wise young woman, with a streak of mischief, she was a meddler and was always cryptic in delivering her message, she often enjoyed speaking in riddles and watching the person struggle to find the meaning in her words and then watching from afar as they fvck up repeatedly. She knew what she told them to be true, but she was purposely vague so as to create drama, twisting some of her words and changing others to cause confusion. This gave her great entertainment as she followed the paths taken by those who had the misfortune to request her assistance. The Seer was in fact incredibly gifted, her sight was never skewed and always found a way to come to fruition, no matter how the targets acted to either bring it to pass or to thwart destiny. Author POV -Dave, having followed Ace and the witch, crept slowly towards the edge of the clearing they had stopped in, making sure that Ace and the witch were in his sight. Ace was pacing back and forth, almost frothing at the mouth in rage. He turns to the witch and grabs her by her throat.“How did they get past your spells, witch? You told me the camp would remain safe and hidden, but clearly you have failed, your spells must be as weak and pathetic as you are.”He throws her body away from himself and she lands heavily on the ground. Author POV -Maddie ran to her tent as soon as she saw the rogues approaching, she was sure they would be able to hold off what looked to be a group of what, 5 measly warriors? It didn’t even cross her mind that they would be able to free those trapped in the cages, just as it did not cross her mind to question how they had found the place to begin with. Author POV -While Brian, Mark and the others are fighting and detaining the rogues along with Maddie and her father, Jack and Dave make their moves, Dave fades into the trees and makes his way around the clearing, following the path Ace has taken. Thankfully, Ace’s scent is strong and Dave is easily able to pick it up and follow him. Jack steps into the clearing and makes his way over to the woman lying on the floor. Author POV -Daisy woke up to the sound of giggles and a smile stretched across her face before she was even fully awake. Sitting up Daisy was able to see a smattering of blonde hair peeking over the sofa that was a part of the room Carly had given her yesterday. Daisy POV -Stepping out into the early morning light, I suck in a deep breathe, feeling the freshness of the day fill my lungs as a shudder of energy passes through my muscles.
