CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED & FOURTEEN

Diana

IF THERE WAS one thing her father taught her, it was the need to always make good of everything. It was a habit she had been trying so hard to bury for years.

As Diana stared at Thalia, everything in Diana warned her not to trust the female. Her gut screamed against it, but Diana wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt.

"Are you sure about this?" Sia whispered to Diana as Thalia began weaving the spell.

"No," Diana answered simply, still not taking her eyes off Thalia.

"Then why are you letting her do it?" Sia asked again.

"How do you think you would feel without your powers?" Diana asked back, turning to face Sia.

"Empty. Dead. Broken," Sia responded without even thinking.

"Then you understand how it would feel if I lose my Wolf or Selene. They have been a part of me for over twenty years and nothing would be the same without them.

"So, if Thalia poses a slight chance for me to save them, then I am going to take it," Diana said and resumed watching Thalia.
