“The longer he stays away from where he belongs, the more stress it puts on the portal balance.”

That doesn’t sound good at all.

“Isn’t there any way to bring him back?”

He shook his head. “Portals don’t open easily. Whoever did it must be incredibly powerful. More than me.”

There was a cool breeze flowing through the air, causing me to shiver slightly. The leaves of the trees swayed.

“The oxygen here is delicious.” I comment. The air was seriously so fresh, devoid of any toxic substances or smoke.

He furrowed his eyebrows in disbelief. “I am giving you a very important lesson here.”

“Okay okay, I get it. Don’t go out. Big bad devil go rawr.” The truth is, if he is going to find me then he will no matter what. I am not the type to cower away for the rest of my life. I can’t stay cooped up and not go out at all. It sounds suffocating and I don’t like it.
