Worst Fear

“The nurse isn’t here.” Kira had jogged ahead of them to the infirmary to check for the nurse. Since they didn’t have any other option, they decided to take care of the wound themselves.

“I’ll just clean it with a disinfectant and then put on this wrap.” Lev tells her, holding her arm up gently. “How did you fall?”

“Yeah, I want to say it was funny but I didn’t even see it. What happened?” Kira asked.

“Uhh I just suddenly felt a bit dizzy and then before I knew it, I was on the ground.”

“I don’t think it’s normal to feel dizzy for no reason. Do you have anemia? Or maybe you didn’t eat breakfast this morning?” It was Lev who questioned her.

“That must be right! Yes, I must have forgotten to eat breakfast.” She laughed, shaking her head at her stupidity. It was all an act of course. She couldn’t tell them what she saw. It never ended well for her. The only time she had told someone about what she could see was when she was young and she pointed out monsters to her parents. At first they
