Chapter 65: No more dungeons

Kahlan POV

Suddenly, I'm awake. I felt a bit lighter. Though, it looked like I could scent everything around me, from the bed to the steak on the table.

My eyes flew open suddenly, as my stomach rumbled. I felt so hungry.

I pulled the blanket away from my body and my eyes went toward the food on the table. I rushed forward and it was indeed steak.

I was a bit skeptical, as I discovered that my sense of smell wasn't like this. Well, it could be because I'm so hungry.

Happily, I delved into the food hungrily as if there was someone close by that was going to take it away from me.

Almost halfway, I realized something I hadn't initially. When I was coming over to the table from the bed, it looked as though I was a bit faster.

It couldn't have been anything, right? Because I'm not really thinking well.

Wait a moment! Where am I?

My eyes went wide with shock as the question settled in. The steak was almost over now, though I still felt hungry, it was manageable.
