The darkness of the night was thick here. Thicker than it was supposed to be.

Ansel Vaughn tried harder to focus on a specific feature of their faces. Yet it became a blur of color even when they were solid when he viewed them from the side of his vision.

He crawled nearer, but when he turned to face them, he was met with shadows and swirling colors.
