The pull was too strong. I was in haze but before I could feel his lips. The door creaked open and I jolted away from him. My eyes went wide as I saw Connor walking inside, he smiled at me before facing Jason.

I could feel Jason's heated gaze on me as I dropped my gaze

Connor did a check-up for Jason and told us that Jason has recovered and that he can be discharged. I was happy to hear that.

"April, I'd like to start studying in a few days," Connor said, looking at me.

"No," Jason interrupted. "Let's postpone it until after the term begins, which is three weeks later," Jason said in a tone that left nothing to argue about.

We hailed a cab and we both sat in the backseat.

"So when are we going to the funfair?" He asked and I looked at him with wide eyes. "Connor hasn't told me about the result yet," I said and Jason smirked at me.

"You've cleared it," He mused and my heart did a wild pitter-patter in joy.

"Am I dreaming?" I asked and he chuckled.

can she be any more naive and stupid. but I am loving this story. usually rogues are more aware and leary of people. you would think after what she has been through and they turned there back on her. ugh
