I slowly walked toward the door, and I opened it. I did not want to aggravate her any more than I may already have.
Adelina stood there with disappointment written on her face.
“What are you doing here Isla? I thought you had work today. I would not have pegged you to be the type to lie about your whereabouts just so you can have some alone time with your boyfriend.” She scolded and shook her head in disappointment as she stepped inside.
