I sat on my bed, mopping and wallowing like a dog who had just lost his balls. “They weren’t talking about me right?” I asked myself but with no answer. The little subconscious voice that I was trying so hard to ignore letting me know that it indeed I whom they were talking about. Was that how low and little they thought of me? A knock brought me out of my thoughts, and before I could say anything, he graced my presence. Plastering a smile on my face, I welcomed him waiting for him to utter what had brought him here. Instead, what I got was a kiss, a lengthy mouth to mouth French kiss. His earlier conversation invaded my mouth, my earlier repulsion for both him and I, for allowing him to do these kinds of things, resulting me into trying to push him away. However, like usual, he did not budge. The more I pushed, the more he pulled me back to him, slowly making me forget my earlier resilience. I mean at least I tried. After what felt like an hour, he finally pulled back letting me br
The house was as mute as a grave, which was nothing out of the ordinary. After all, I was the only soul residing here, in this tremendous luxurious penthouse. One did not need every inch of their brain cells to recognize that this penthouse was in fact designed for a male owner. The dark rustic walls, the lack of décor whatsoever, the lifelessness screaming from every corner of the living area. It was just so masculine, however I had to admit, it was still beautiful. The breathtaking view of the cityscape, as displayed from the gigantic clear windows made up for the plain living quarters. Especially during the golden hours, where the beautiful orange rays of the setting sun would grace the entire living room, I lived for those moments. They never failed to leave me in awe at how spectacular and beautiful the city of London could be, especially during the evening when the sky turned an aesthetic pinkish orangish colour submerged in the clouds. Sunrise was also a blessing in this house.

TRIGGER WARNING! MATURE CONTENTS AHEAD THAT MAY INCLUDE NON CONSENTUAL ACTS. READ AT YOUR OWN RISKS‘YOUR SCHOLARSHIP HAS BEEN REVOKED’ Even though those dreadful words were written in black font, all I could see was red. Those were the first words I read of the letter. Tears built up at the brim of my eyes, but I had no energy to let them out. ‘Due to some financial issues our company is facing, we are sad to let you know that you will no Longer be a part of our Fly Wings plan’ the rest of the letter read. The other letters were letters of apology, one having my one-way ticket back to my country.
Slamming the door shut, I screamed in fury at no one whatsoever, the tears that I was desperately trying to hold back earlier, fell out on their own accord. Pained sobs escaped my mouth as I scrunched down, covering my face with my hands hoping that the subtle action would hide my weak self from the unseen demons residing in the house. “Looks like you have no problem slutting yourself out to other men except me” That chilling, forbidden voice that I knew all too well spoke, cutting off my pityful sobs, jerking my face out of the cage that I had created, forcing me to follow the direction the voice had come from.
Clearly, he was not expecting that, as he withdrew completely from me, his face completely morphed with anger but then he chuckled, confusing me completely. “One million, my offer still stands” once I realised what he was talking about, the confusion I was feeling got replaced with fury. He just knew how to test my buttons. I raised my hand to knock some sense into him, but this time he was faster to stop me, he tsked “That won’t work again on me sweetheart.” He said, before pulling my hand to bring me closer to him, squishing me on his chest leaving no room for me to escape. “Two million, three, name your price! I don’t care how much it is but I will have you! You clearly have nothing! You think those meaningless jobs will get you by!” His voice raised a bit the more he spoke, a side that I had not yet seen from him. My eyes raised in alarm. “You have three days to give me an answer” he said before handing me his business card and then leaving the premises all together. **********
The rosy and warm morning hue blessed my skin as I had decided to sleep with the windows and curtains wide open. The cold chilli morning breeze pushing me further and further into the depths of my comforter. My body was too exhausted too, from cleaning the apartment all day. I had to leave it clean, before packing. My subconsciousness wouldn’t let me otherwise. Oh! Packing. I had so many activities that I had planned for today. Most of them were last minute such as changing my flight date for back home. I was supposed to live today, but there was so much that I still had to do first and so it had to be this way. Thank God I did not have to think about my flight ticket as my scholarship sponsors had done that for me, even though it was still kind of sad. My funds were dwindling, and I had no job to sustain my life here. Thinking of getting another one ate my brain away as I remembered the hustle, and time I had to put in order to get the one at the restaurant which paid peanuts only f
The cold and chilly day did not hinder the people of London from going about their day, as the city was packed to the brim with pedestrians running up and down, the metros jostling up and about the underground tunnels, everyone so caught up on the newspapers they were reading or their smartphones. I was currently one of those people. My fully charged metallic smartphone was in my hand, not that I was busy texting or catching up on emails and news like how I assumed the people around me were doing but more less like trying to distract myself from the ongoing internal turmoils of my heart. I felt like I was about to throw up and it was not because of the hideous stench inside the metro brought about the different people’s scent occupying the metro, from those who had showered, the drunkards or the ones who clearly had their lives together indicated by the well ironed neat clothes and perfumes they adorned. The metro came to a standstill, as the door chimed opened. My stop was here at l
