Chapter 29

The cold and chilly day did not hinder the people of London from going about their day, as the city was packed to the brim with pedestrians running up and down, the metros jostling up and about the underground tunnels, everyone so caught up on the newspapers they were reading or their smartphones. I was currently one of those people. My fully charged metallic smartphone was in my hand, not that I was busy texting or catching up on emails and news like how I assumed the people around me were doing but more less like trying to distract myself from the ongoing internal turmoils of my heart. I felt like I was about to throw up and it was not because of the hideous stench inside the metro brought about the different people’s scent occupying the metro, from those who had showered, the drunkards or the ones who clearly had their lives together indicated by the well ironed neat clothes and perfumes they adorned.
