The sound of his alarm going off jolted the sleeping man awake. Christopher nearly stumbled out of the desk he had fallen asleep on, quickly getting to his feet and looking around the room as if it were unfamiliar territory. Curse his dreams, always sending him down bitter memory lanes.

Rubbing his tired eyes, Christopher tried to shake off the remnants of his dream. The room was dimly lit, with flickers of sunlight seeping through the blinds. It was clear that he had once again neglected his physical and mental well-being, consumed by his thoughts.

As he stood up from the desk, Christopher couldn't help but feel a heaviness in his chest. The bitterness of his memories lingered, reminding him of unanswered questions and unresolved conflicts. The dream had only amplified those feelings, leaving him unsettled and on edge.
