“Hello?” My voice was shaky as I answered. Partly due to still be aroused but the other part was nervous about talking to Brayden again.

“Hailey? Is that you? Holy Fuck! I can’t believe I saw you! What were you doing there?” He sounded so mature and relieved

“It’s me.” I put it on speaking since Waylon walked in. His eyes were narrowing at me but he didn’t interrupt. “What happened to you? Where is your family?”

“First, tell you escaped okay? They said you went into the water but I couldn’t get any other information.”

“We did. We found the cave and got out. I can’t believe I’m talking to you!” I started to get happy tears in my eyes.

“Me too! I never thought I would see you again. I know I was very little when everything happened but I still remembered you. You haven’t chanced much!” Brayden sounded just as happy to hear from me as I was to him.

“Brayden, what happened? Where did you guys go? I went to look for berries and when I got back, you were gone!” Panic rose in me again
